I am mostly a kinesthetic learner. When learning new information or procedures, I produce my best results with a hands-on approach. I prefer to practice and apply the new information rather than listening to instructions or watching videos. My other preferred method of learning is by reading and writing the material. I like to read the information, and I also rewrite it that way it becomes a form of repetition for my cognitive retainment. I would say that I am also a visual learner, which I think kind of falls under kinesthetic learning. Ultimately, I do agree with my results because I know that I learn best when practicing and apply the new information that is being taught.

I learn by repetition and hearing/seeing things over and over again. It could all be the same content but explained/presented differently. That’s how I learn, pretty much.

My learning preference is mild kinesthetic, which means I learn best through practical exercises, real-world examples, and hands-on experiences. With a score of 7 in kinesthetic, I benefit most from trial and error, case studies, and active participation in tasks that connect directly to real-life situations. I also scored 5 in visual and 4 in aural, which shows that I can learn effectively through charts, diagrams, and discussions as well. My lowest score was in read/write (1), indicating that long written explanations and note-taking are not as effective for me compared to interactive methods. Overall, I learn most successfully when I can actively engage with the material and apply it in meaningful ways.

I’m a kinesthetic learner in most instances. But I do think it depends on what situation I’m in and what I’m learning.

I’ve been a visual and Kinesthetic learner. Diagrams and pictures help me remember and understand concepts. I also like to re-write my notes, if time permits, and highlight the need-to-know or important information. Just listening to the lecture doesn’t help me at all. I have to see the information over and over again.

I have always felt like overall I need to be able to “do something” in order to learn a skill or a subject. Lectures just aren’t enough for me —- they are simply the first exposure to the material I need to learn. I definitely am a kinesthetic learner with a hint of reading & writing to help the info stick — flash cards are also a tool that I find very useful but real life experiences or personal mnemonics I create help me learn & remember things.

I am totally a kinesthetic learner. I have to do things to understand them. I hate when I have to just read an article in school because I don’t relate to it. Doing things with my hands is how I have to learn.

Yes, I do consider myself a kinesthetic person because I learn best when I am hands-on and active. I notice this in my everyday life, like when I cook, exercise, or put things together — I understand better once I actually try it myself. For studying, I find it helpful to use practice questions, role-play situations, and connect material to real examples. These strategies help me stay engaged and remember the information longer.

According to the questionnaire I was labeled as a kinesthetic learner. I do agree that I fall somewhat under this category but also believe that I am a visual learner as well. Yes, I believe getting those hands-on experiences helps me in certain situations. When being taught something that requires physical learning, getting reps in helps me learn what I am being taught more effectively and efficiently

I feel the same way. I prefer doing hands on projects instead of lectures.

Yes, I am a Kinesthetic learner, however, I am also a visual learner as well. There are many aspects of my life where kinesthetic preference is apparent. I tend to talk with a lot of hand gestures especially when I am trying to explain something. I am currently in the RN program so I most definitely prefer kinesthetic learning when learning new skills. For example, when learning IVs, I need to perform venipuncture and settingup the IV pump over and over in order to learn the skill and become efficient.

I am an Aural learner, which is news to me. I have always believed that I am a visual learner, but after taking this questionnaire it makes sense to me that I am actually an aural learner. I noticed that when taking tests or exam I can remember what my professors had told me about the subject. I recall a lot of information from what has been told to me versus other forms of learning tools such as taking notes. I do a lot better on exams if I just sit and listen to my professors instead of focusing on taking notes. I’m glad that I was made aware of my learning style so that I can now go look for study tools that suit my specific learning style.

I learn better by experiencing or trial and error. I have always learned from my mistakes and seeing an example of what I am doing. I think kinesthetic learners do this well. I have always been a kinesthetic learner since I can remember. If there is anything to set up or build I rely on diagrams and common sense. It has helped me significantly in my life. Things I missed or did incorrectly I learn from. If I know the importance or seriousness of a task, I tend to give it my all by actions.

I am a kinesthetic learner and see that many others also learn the same as me. In order for something to stick with me and for me to apply it to my education, I need to physically do the skill or learn what’s required to perform my best.

I got to know more about my learning style, how I react and how I respond.

This is lowkey scary and dissapointing. I always thought I was a visual learner but being a Kinesthetic person sounds way harder and may explaing why I have such a hard time learning but it may just be my ADHD (I’m undiagnosed tho but I’m like pretty sure I have it)

Be sure to review VARK’s definitions for Visual and Kinesthetic. Many people expect a Visual result because they like learning from videos, but videos are more appropriate for Kinesthetic learners because they are about things in the real world. (VARK’s Visual mode is more about graphical representations). Check the kinesthetic helpsheet as it has lots of suggestions and strategies that will be helpful for you as a Kinesthetic learner.

Knowing what type of learner I am opened up my eyes and explained a lot to me.

As a kinesthetic learner who studies computer science, I dreaded listening or watching the teacher’s screen. I wanted to see how you get to the result of the code, not what the code does. I don’t care about the details, just how it is done… that what is necessary to get the output. However, often times in big classes it’s hard to get the attention you need because it simply costs more attention to show someone step for step how it works than simply directing you to the informational text or image.

I’m now pursuing a career in hands on work. I enjoy it much more, but a big weakness of mine is to be afraid of making mistakes when I am in a real life environment. It’s pretty much the nemesis of a kinesthetic. So I’m learning to dare.

If I recommend anyone anything, it’s that you should try to get the type of attention you need and you should make it clear to your teacher. He can show you and tell you everything you know, but if he doesn’t give you the environment you need to practice and SEE for yourself… You will not understand it.

I have known about modality since I was in primary school. But I only knew about VAK, instead of the fourth which is R. I know I was a K person because it was just difficult for me to sit still and listen a whole lesson in classroom. My teachers was so creative that time, she makes the class interesting with offering groups to role play to the textbook’s chapters. I have a lot of fun and having deep impression on what we learning. I like life skills classes in school which is called “Kemahiran Hidup” in my country(Malaysia). They teach us hands on things such as fixing a fan, build something using small woods, types of sewing clothes, electricity, air pump etc. I felt difficult and dislike to homework like copying sentence, repeat writing something. And thus I’m not really like doing my homework and finishing them but end up found by teacher and still have to do. I got a “very strong K” in the inventory and was a bit shocked. I dislike doing group discussion and prefer more hands-on lessons in class but it was unreality so I will just try to focus or go to toilet for rest to stay up my focus on lesson and still I hate doing assignments but love exams.

The key to completing reading and writing tasks when you have a Kinesthetic preference is to find ways to relate what you are reading or writing about to real life experience – if possible, your own experience. So focus on case studies and examples. Relate what you are reading to what has happened on field trips, and so on. Similarly, in group discussions, bring the conversation back to real world examples.

I’ll attend myself that I am a kinesthetic learner as though it’s helping me to remember on how to do something with myself and following the iintroductions and I learn the best from my mistakes When I attend to make a mistake in my teenage life, My brain likes to be sleeping while i’m doing virtual school but in my home school DCTI (Danforth Collegiate and Technical Insitute), The active of my brain works up while I do the work there and Still it’s a challenge for me to have new experiences as a teenager but while i’m learning, it’s so diffcult to just sit and listening, What i love to do is I play with my clay or sketch on my sketchbook.
